Ultraviolet light, heat, damp, salt water, aggressive cleaning products, careless storage as well as physical abuse (dragging over the ground) all accelerate the ageing process. Your equipment's useful life can be significantly extended by careful observance of the following points:
The wing should be folded rib to rib, so that the reinforcements at the leading edge lie as flat as possible on each other. When rolling up the glider the stacked leading edge reinforcements must not be folded; and don't always make the same centre cell the left/right folding line. Don't over-flatten the folded glider, or pack it too tightly.
The choice of materials and the creation of an ADVANCE product play an important part in protecting the environment. We only use quality materials and fabrics that have been tested for environmental friendliness. When, in a few years, your glider has come to the end of its useful life, please remove all the metal parts and dispose of the lines, wing and risers in an incineration plant.
Light products are especially vulnerable to overstress and damage. The "Handle with Care" label should always be respected, because the lifespan of your product very much depends on your care of it.
