The personable Chilean grew up with a launch pad in his back garden on the Pacific coast. Bicho acquired his first paraglider when he was just three years old. Since then he spent years ground handling and coastal soaring, laying the groundwork for his well-developed sensitivities to the paraglider in flight. At the age of 19 he decided make his hobby hisprofession. In 2021 he fulfilled his biggest dream and became ACRO world champion.
Hee-hee, my first was tandem with my dad, I was 11 months old. But the first solo was at 11 years old, it was a beautiful evening on the beach. Whenever I remember that day, I get tears of happiness.
I try to fly as much as possible. I don't care if it's in the mountains or on the beach; if it's acro or XC, hike & fly or paramotor, alone or with company. Every flight has its magic.

This is the way I do things
Bicho Carrera planned a special flight on the day of a total eclipse of the Sun. The young Chilean would fly his paraglider in the darkened sky of the eclipse as the Moon passed exactly in front of the Sun.
