interview

Do you remember your first flight? How was it?

Yes, the course took almost half a year to complete because of the bad weather in Norway in the fall, but I immediately fell in love with the sport and could not wait for the next flight.

What moments make flying worthwhile?

The unique nature experiences with amazing views you can only get in this sport, and also the peaceful glides with a feeling of self-fulfillment after a long XC-flight or a hike to a big mountain.

Your three top flying areas?

Hard to choose! But definitely along the fjords in western Norway, and also the Swiss alps & the Dolomites.

What are you doing on a day that is not flyable?

Everything else fun; ski mountaineering, XC-skiing, climbing, skydiving, biking.

Most important paragliding successes?

  • XC League Norway 2023: 4th sport class & 4th open class
  • DROP Run & fly league 2023: 2nd place
  • XC League Norway 2022: 2nd sport class & 6th open class
  • Hike & fly Unneland 2021: 3rd place, 2022: 1st place
  • Trøndelag hike & fly 2020: 5th place, 2021: 2nd place

But maybe most important not having gotten any injuries.

Why do you fly for ADVANCE?

The Swiss attention to detail in the products is on another level, and the quality of the products is just unmatched.

What is your favourite food?

“Pinnekjøtt”, directly translated to “stick meat”, a traditional Norwegian Christmas dinner.
