After 2hrs practice on a low hill, I went up in my first maxi high above the mountain … excitement, stress…. and then, naturally, the need… for more!!
For the actual moments, I can’t say. For me it is the surprises that flying holds in store. A couple of days ago I was on a hike & fly. I carried the wing, the weather was quite cloudy, the forecast even worse. The summit was in cloud (3,500m) but I kept climbing. Shortly before the top, like a gift, there was a small snowfield, almost into wind. The cloud broke up from time to time. What more could you want?! I had a wonderful flight, as good as it gets – an almost 300km FAI, landing at home.
The High Atlas, Himalaya, Caucasus…. Indescribable! I love to fly in unknown mountains and regions.
I like to go climbing mountains and rock climbing, mountain biking and riding the racing bike. In the winter I’m on skis a lot of the time.
2013 German XC champion

The biggest success is always to have fun and land SAFELY! I’m no longer interested in performance when flying, or the kilometres or results, it’s more about the excitement, the experience that flying provides.
That’s easy, the equipment just works, is very well made and thought out.
I’m already looking forward to the new equipment! :)
